Allendale Columbia School has recently been featured in a number of news outlets, providing an opportunity to showcase our position as a cure for the Common Core in front of a wide range of audiences! News10NBC’s Scholar Athlete of the Week

AC senior Emily Yax was recently featured as News10NBC’s Scholar Athlete of the Week. In addition to playing three sports, Emily maintains a high GPA and serves as captain of AC’s Science Bowl team which has qualified for the national competition. Click here to see the full story!

Students Work to Save Rochester Science Fair

AC seventh graders Liza Cotter and Matthew Duver were highlighted in this television news story for their efforts to save Rochester’s Science Fair. When they heard the fair might not happen this year, the students took matters into their own hands, helping to get the word out about the event so that area students could have the opportunity to participate. The story also features interviews from FIRST LEGO League Coach Jim Cotter and AC faculty member Tina Duver. Click here to see!

Scottsville Native Goes Backstage at SNL
February 20th, 2015

Alison Castle, a 1991 AC graduate, got exclusive back-stage access throughout most of “Saturday Night Live’s” 39th season while working on a book titled “Saturday Night Live.” The book combines never-before-seen archival photographs with a season-by-season breakdown. Grandparents and Special Friends Day at AC

The Brighton-Pittsford Post featured a series of photos from this year’s Grandparents Day at Allendale Columbia School. Photos show students working with their grandparents and special friends to complete projects as part of this special AC tradition. Click here to see!
