Amanda is the Lower School Reading Advocate/Coach who will support classroom teaching in reading through intervention, enrichment, and coaching. Amanda has been teaching since 2009, working as an Academic Intervention Support Instructor and classroom teacher for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. She also spent 6 years as a K-12 tutor that included teaching SAT prep courses and running middle school summer writing institutes. Amanda has a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and a master’s degree in Inclusive Childhood Education, both from Nazareth College. She also holds certifications from Texas in English as a Second Language (ESL) and Gifted and Talented (enrichment).
What’s your favorite hobby and why?
I love to travel to National Parks. I love to hike, camp and be outside in nature!

I like planning activities and listening to the students laugh and have fun together!
