Amy Oliveri Art Director, AC Center for Entrepreneurship aoliveri@allendalecolumbia.org (585) 641-5297 |
Amy has been a part of Allendale Columbia School’s Art Department since the fall of 2010 and serves as Director of AC’s Center for Entrepreneurship. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Illustration and a Concentration in ASL as well as a Master of Science Degree for Teachers in Art Education from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
How did you decide to go into this line of work?
I was a dance teacher for over 10 years. When I stopped teaching I really missed my students and the environment of the classroom.
What’s the best part of working at Allendale Columbia?
The best part of my job is the freedom to create a curriculum with my students. I can learn from them just as they can learn from me. The flexibility of an open-ended classroom that is student-driven really challenges me as a teacher. That is an experience that I look forward to daily.
