Why did you decide to go into this line of work?
My love of educating children inspired me to become a teacher. It is what pushes me to constantly educate myself, so I can better help my students. It is also why I enjoy sharing my ideas with other educators with the hope that they too can inspire their students.

What’s the best part about working at Allendale Columbia?
Teaching at AC allows me the freedom to set my own curriculum and style of teaching. This gives me the flexibility to gauge student interest in topics, so we can delve deeper into areas of high interest. I am also able to adjust my teaching style to better reach all students.

What’s your favorite quote?
“You are the sum total of everything you’ve ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot – it’s all there. Everything influences each of us, and because of that I try to make sure that my experiences are positive.” – Maya Angelou
