Keri is a Mathematics Teacher for Middle and Upper School teaching Math 7, Algebra, Algebra 1, and Algebra II Honors. Keri is returning to her role as a math teacher bringing experience in classroom preparation, curriculum development, committee participation, and student activities. Most recently, she was a software lead and engineer at Lockheed Martin where she experienced firsthand how important mathematics is in everyday work. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s in Educational Administration from the University of Rochester.

What do you love most about your job?
I love that I can make an impact on children and on how they view math in the world around them.

What’s your favorite hobby and why?
Soccer. I played it growing up, and now I coach my children.

If you could have lunch with anyone, who would it be and why?
Leonardo da Vinci because he was knowledgeable in so many areas. What couldn’t he do? According to Wikipedia, his abilities included invention, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing, history, and cartography.
