Ty is a French teacher working primarily with Upper School students in French I, II, III, IV, and V. Most recently she was working at a private international school in Kuwait, setting up the World Languages program and teaching students. Ty brings a diverse skillset to AC, including more than 14 years as a French teacher, experience as the World Languages department chair, as a teacher in the Gifted Endorsement course, and as an off-site private instructor for the Alliance Française of Atlanta, GA. Ty has a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Master of Arts degree in Secondary Foreign Language Education, both from the University of Rochester.
What do you love most about your job?
Connecting with students and seeing them get excited about learning a new language and new cultures.
What or who inspires you?
My parents inspire me. They worked tirelessly to give me a life better than the ones they had growing up. I work so hard and am who I am today because of them.
