Get to bed earlier.
Don’t wait to the last minute to start your homework.
Get out of your room and make friends.
Do your laundry.
Talk to your teachers.
Manage your time.
Find your passion.
School work comes first.
Surround yourself with good people.
Turn your homework in on time.
Make sure you get enough sleep.
Just do the work.
Think about who you are.

Recent Grads Return to AC, Participate in College Life Program
Posted on January 14th, 2015 by egilletteTwenty three alumni, hailing from graduating classes 2011-2014, returned to campus on January 8th to share their knowledge and expertise gained in college with Upper School students. This College Life Program invites recent graduates for lunch and mingling, followed by a formal panel, which provides students with a platform to ask questions. Moderated by AC’s College Advisor, Kristin Merriman, the event allows students to hear alumni talk from experience, and can ease fears as well as boost confidence, as Upper School students begin the college process or may be finalizing their plans following graduation from AC. It’s become a tradition that many Upper School students look forward to.
Visiting alumni represented nineteen different colleges, and several also shared their gap year and transfer experiences. Advice ranged from “how to live with a roommate” to “what’s it really like learning in the college classroom?” Alumni were eager to respond, even sharing “what they wish they knew” in hopes of aiding students just entering college. Alumni participants even went home with a special gift from Laura Reynolds-Gorsuch, Food Service Manager, who prepared AC favorite blonde brownies for all of the alums.
