The Upper School Musical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Revised), is just around the corner! There are four shows from Friday, November 16th – Sunday, November 18th and we need your help!
We hope you will come and see our students in this fresh approach to the beloved 1967 comic strip by Charles Schultz, and, we are asking for your support with the Upper School Musical Concession Stand.
We are asking Volunteers to donate baked goods, and/or to staff the concession stand during each performance.
We hope you will join us and help make this year’s musical another fun and memorable event for all!
Our PACK Coffee Connection remains one of the best ways for parents to make connections with AC and our awesome parent/guardian community. We continue to host these get-togethers once a month, on Wednesday mornings, to share AC updates and to give parents a chance to get to know each other. This month we’ll be walking you through our online MyAC dashboard so that parents feel comfortable and confident using the tool. Hope to see you in the Bruce B. Bates Design and Innovation Lab for this month’s Coffee Connection!
8:00 – 8:30 a.m. Treats and coffee
8:30 – 9:00 a.m. Presentation
Coffee Connection is the monthly parent social for all AC parents, host parents, and guardians. It’s organized by the volunteer group, Parents of Allendale Columbia Kids (PACK). If you have any questions or want to get more involved with PACK, please email the PACK President, Kristin Rorapaugh, at email@example.com.
Thank you for a wonderful Homecoming! The misty rain in the morning turned into a beautiful fall day just in time for the start of our Homecoming. Hundreds of family members turned out for the soccer and volleyball games, inflatables, baked goods, food trucks, and raffles. Our families could not have enjoyed Homecoming if it weren’t for all of the parent, family, and AC volunteers who gave their time and effort with smiles. We can’t thank each and every one of you enough! We hope you will all join us again next year for another fun Homecoming!
Join us on Wednesday September 12th for our monthly parent social known as the PACK Coffee Connection. For our first Coffee Connection, come meet the new faces at AC for a casual, fun way to start the year! All parents, host parents, grandparents and guardians are welcome to attend. Tasty treats and coffee from the kitchen will be served 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. in the Dining Commons. We hope you’ll join us!
On behalf of PACK, Parents of Allendale Columbia Kids, I am excited to welcome both new and returning families to the 2018-2019 year! There are many wonderful events planned that are great opportunities for us to come together and get involved as a school, division, and grade level. During the course of this year, your Grade and Division Liaisons will reach out to you with more information on these events as well as how to volunteer for them. For some of these events, we will be using our new Sign Ups section in MyAC to sign up for volunteering. It is always rewarding to see our children enthusiastically engaged in the events that our parent volunteers work tirelessly for.
We look forward to connecting with all of you as we kick off the new school year. Welcome and welcome back to this amazing AC community!
Join us on Wednesday, March 14th, for our monthly PACK Coffee Connection from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. Enjoy a morning of conversation, coffee, and treats from the kitchen with your fellow parents, host parents, guardians, and grandparents.
For those parents that would like to help in the Wolf Den during the Evening of the Arts, we will also offer training of our simple, new point of sale system. To sign up to volunteer for Evening of the Arts, please click here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0a49aaab29aaf49-acevening.

On Thursday night at the All-Parent Appreciation Dinner, parents had an opportunity to connect, socialize, conduct a bit of business, and paint a brick for the #KIND Wall Project.
Parents of Allendale Columbia Kids (PACK) President Michele Peters conducted nominations and votes for next year’s PACK leadership. The new slate of officers includes:
- PACK President – Kristin Rorapaugh
- PACK Vice President – Cara Cardinale
- Upper Division Liaison – Dawn Williams Fuller
- Middle Division Liaison – Lois Palomaki
- Lower Division Liaison – Melissa Clark
- Special Events Coordinator – Tami Bilinski
Parents then heard from Mick regarding the new realities we’re facing on school safety and his focus on keeping our AC community as safe as possible. He also discussed how we encourage and support our students to share their voices to make a positive impact. Head of Middle School Tina Duver then led a rousing Rock-Paper-Scissors icebreaker. Two of our Middle School students then presented the work they’re doing with classmates for the #KIND Wall project where they are finalists of a national contest sponsored by KIND and Harvard University. Parents then had an opportunity to feel the impact of the work our students are doing and participate in the project by painting a brick that will be included as part of our AC community-wide effort in inspiring kindness.
