    Sophomore Forum

The Class Forum is an established Allendale Columbia School tradition introduced by the headmistress of the Columbia school, Mrs. Della Simpson, in 1946 to help students practice making arguments about current issues and to give the school community the opportunity to have a civil discussion about sensitive topics.

    Book Fair

Our annual Book Fair is coming to campus on March 26–27, and we’re thrilled to once again partner with Lift Bridge Book Shop! Owned by AC community members Sarah and John Bonczyk, the shop will generously donate 20% of Book Fair sales back to AC. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support a local bookstore while helping our students grow as lifelong readers. Families are welcome to stop by and browse—purchases can be made with cash, cards, or Apple Pay.

We’re also excited to welcome award-winning author Vivian Vande Velde on March 26! With more than four decades of experience writing books for children and teens, she will meet with our K–5 students for presentations and a writer’s workshop. Many of her books will be available for purchase at the Book Fair, where students will also have the chance to have their copies signed.
