College Info for AC Families

AC’s Knowledge for College

In addition to our full-time Director of College Counseling, Emily Nevinger, Allendale Columbia provides an array of resources to our families who are thinking about, beginning, and going through the college planning and application process. This can be an exciting yet sometimes challenging time for families, and we provide guidance, expertise, and assistance whenever it’s needed.  The college planning process is truly an individual process for each student; please find seven resources below that can help with college planning.

1. Annual College Planning Programs

2. SCOIR

Upper School students and parents are given personal accounts for SCOIR, an engaging college search and application management system used throughout the college planning process. AC encourages families to visit the site and bookmark the link on their devices and/or download the mobile app from Apple.

3. Standardized Testing Dates

4. College Board
