AUG 19	IYLEP 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM view detailshide details The Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program (IYLEP) brings Iraqi high school and undergraduate students to the U.S. for summer exchanges to explore themes of leadership development, civic rights and responsibilities, respect for diversity, and community engagement. Participants on this U.S. Department of State-funded program are recruited from all provinces in Iraq and come from many different communities and groups within the country. Iraqi adult mentors who accompany the students are educators and/or community leaders who work with youth and have demonstrated an interest in promoting youth leadership and social development. AUG 22	PACK Family Picnic 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM view detailshide details Join us for a back-to-school picnic to see old faces and meet new friends! The event will be held on campus in the AC Courtyard. Games and activities will be provided for kids. Please bring money for the Tom Wahl's Food Truck or BYOP (Bring Your Own Picnic). It's a perfect way to kick-off the school year! AUG 27	Parent Orientation 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM view detailshide details This event is for all parents that are new to the Allendale Columbia community or new to a division. Join us for coffee and opening remarks by Mick Gee at 6:15 p.m. followed by division specific meetings led by our Division Heads from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This event is designed to provide new parents and returning parents new to a division with information that is helpful for an easy transition this fall. This event is a great chance to meet new parents, and connect with other parents in your child's grade. We hope to see you there!
